BACKGROUND
Newsla's mission is to make meaningful classroom learning for every student.
Newsela started off making content accessible to students of every reading skills by providing articles written at 5 different reading levels, and is now pushing to expand their impact in other aspects of education.

I've worked on multiple projects at Newsela, spanning from internal tools for content creation, to end user experiences such as assignments & reporting, to blue sky strategy initiatives for the entire platform.
Collaboration with cross-functional team members is vital, working with other product & visual designers, product managers, developers, content strategists, education specialists, data analysts, and customer success members.
